"Mine For A Day"

I've only recorded this once before and that was on poor quality tape, so this is the first public airing of this song.

For that original recording, I 'invented' lap steel guitar. I was looking for the right sound and slide guitar wasn't quite working so I detuned my electric guitar and it ended up on my lap. Lap steel differs from slide guitar because you don't press the strings onto the frets - instead the 'slide bar' itself sets the tone, allowing a smooth slide to the right (or wrong) note.

Bass guitar played with thumb instead of fingers because, well, I felt like it.

The song: a gentle and simple love song, almost equally divided between vocal and solo.
